For years cavers found these a great combination of comfort when crawling and ease when walking. The high front of the tough flexible rubber shell prevents debris from getting between the kneepad and the knee (No Ouch!).
Judsen catalog pages called them "Soft Pillows for Your Knees!" and said "Time goes faster, output is up, when your knees don't hurt!"

In addition to their long popularity with cavers, these kneepads are useful for gardening, scrubbing, painting, DIY and carpentry, and many other household chores. They are also comfort for commercial carpet layers, tile setters, cement finishers, carpenters, roofers, landscapers, cotton pickers - and anyone who works on their knees.
The kneepad surface on the ground is highly textured to improve grip. Cotton 5/8" webbing is used for the straps, with metal tips to ease threading through the buckles, which give easy adjustment. The straps are molded into the body of the rubber kneepad, with rubber strain relief tabs where they emerge from the molded rubber.
These kneepads are durable, water-resistant and easy to clean.
A foam rubber pad about 1/4" thick is on the inner surface of the pad against the knee.
The inner foam rubber pad is oval, 7" x 4". There is 6 inches rim to rim at the top buckles, 5 inches rim to rim at the lower buckles. The straps will snug this smaller as the shell is flexible. The shell overlaps the knee 3" outside, 2½" inside. The footprint outside, is 7½" vertically, 4½" wide at the top buckles, 3½" wide at the lower.
