    Description

    Hamamatsu E717-78 socket for photomultiplier 931, 1P21, 1P28, R928 type tubes, there are three solderable pins (wires or PCB),
    on the base that are in a triangle shape and the cathode pin is marked with a red dot.
    One is ground and one is cathode (-HV). This includes the divider network inside.
    The divider is comprised of 330K resistors, or about 3.3Meg overall. It is set up for negative HV.
    That means the -HV is first connected to the Cathode and to the divider from there to ground.
    The Anode is brought out directly for DC coupled uses. Like photometers, where it is input directly to a transimpedance amplifier.
    It is epoxy potted for good environmental stability. This is extremely well made.
